I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D), who is passionate about supporting individuals increase their communication, social, and adaptive living skills. I have over 12 years of experience working with learners across a variety of settings. I received my NY Teaching Certification, for General and Special Education in 2017. Then, in 2020 I received my PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis from Teachers College, Columbia University. I have had the opportunity to work in the capacity as Special Education Teacher, Teacher Mentor, and in the home setting as the supervising BCBA. I enjoy working closely with the learner and the family to tailor an individual treatment plan to address the learner’s unique needs. I believe all individuals are capable of learning and my goal is to come alongside the learner and the family to promote independence. I believe this is done through a deep understanding of the principles of behavior and a relationship built on respect, kindness, and fun. Not only do I have experience working with families, but I have had many opportunities to be part of a multi-disciplinary time and enjoy the chance to collaborate with others across disciplines. I find this field incredibly rewarding because while I use the science of ABA to teach learners new skills, I find that the learners and families I work with are often teaching me things as well.

Nichole Favazza
I entered the ABA field in 2013, with a MA in School Psychology. After falling in love with behavioral science, I went on to receive training at a multi-discipinary pediatric center, where behavior analysts, speech pathologists and occupational therapists collaborated to develop highly individualized treatment plans. I love to incorporate art, music, play, and movement into therapy sessions and foster new hobbies or interests for my clients. While I says there are many rewarding parts of my job, one of my favorite moments is to see my client use newly learned skills in new places, such as at a playground, at a grandparents house, or at school.
